Lyn St. James Driver Development Program

I was accepted in October 2007 and in started the classes in November.

The first class was Mental Preparedness and Physical Development. We learned a lot and have a lot of follow through to continue with.

Jacques Dallaire Ph. D. from Performance Prime was our trainer and he had good information for us. We spent a full day in class with him. Along with some good training programs that we are to keep up with.

After a day of teasing our brains we spent a day going over nutrition and physical training. I now have a workout program and am learning to eat more healthier, so a diet of sorts.

The next class is scheduled for the weekend of February 27th - March 2nd. We are gladly accepting any air miles people are willing to donate to the cause.

This is my 5th year Racing.  I still love it!!

I can proudly say I was able to accomplish my  goals for the 2007 season which included placing 1st in the Bandolero, helping with the Quarter Midgets by flagging.

For the 2008 season I am looking to take first in all the Bandolero races I run and practice driving my new car. I got a Baby Grand which dad is racing this year to "work out the kinks".  Yeah right. Of course I will be helping as I can with the Quarter Midget program.

Why GoGirlRacing? It started with a statement from Annita “I want to Race.”

Annita was watching the movie "Motorcrossed" and “You go girl” was shown on a sign and that’s where the name GoGirlRacing came from. It doesn’t hurt that Annita doesn’t give up on anything she tries, whether it’s racing, soccer, basketball, karate or even homework.

Racing Quarter Midgets in Alaska gave Annita a taste of racing. We’ve now moved up to the Bandolero from 600 Racing. At this time we’re planning on staying in Bandolero’s for a while. We’re hoping within the next year or so to travel down to the “lower 48” to do some rent-a-ride races to get used to running with a larger group of racers.

Like everything else to do with racing it only takes money.

What is a Bandolero?

Using the same magic formula that made the Legends Cars the most mass-produced competition car in history, officials of 600 Racing Inc have produced the Bandolero Car. The Bandolero Car is a turn key, spec series racer designed for drivers as young as eight years old and the young at heart of any age.

“We wanted something to go between a kart and a car and wanted to make it relatively simple for everyone to drive” said H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler. For example, like a kart, the Bandolero Car has left-foot braking and centrifugal clutch so there is no shifting of gears for a new driver to worry about. Simplicity and economy of design are evident everywhere, with 150 parts making up the entire package, half of what goes into making a Legends Car.

The Bandolero Car’s motivation is powered by a thumping Briggs & Stratton 570cc Vanguard engine mounted behind the driver. Small modifications have been made to the engine to bring the once 20hp stock engine to 30hp.
